چکیده
INTRODUCTION Various optical measurement techniques have been developed for the characterization of surface states during electrochemical processes. Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy has been used in combination with electrochemistry to investigate the electronic structure of metal-electrolyte interfaces [1]. We reported the current efficiency of refractive index changes that occurred during the monitoring of oxide film formation and ion adsorption on gold electrodes by simultaneous voltammetry and SPR measurements [2]. We also applied this system to measure the electrochemical reaction of methylene blue (MB) and ferrocyanide [3-4]. We also fabricated an SPR-based electrochemical biosensor based on the detection of the reversible refractive index change that occurs in redox mediator film [5]. Here, we report on electrochemical-SPR measurement for biosensor application and multi-channel detection realized by the SPR imaging of bioelectrochemical reactions.

A new type of chemically converted graphene sheets, cationic polyelectrolyte-functionalized ionic liquid decorated graphene sheets (PFIL-GS) composite, was synthesized and characterized by Ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) absorption, Fourier transform infrared, and Raman spectroscopy. It was found that the presence of PFIL enabled the formation of a very stable aqueous dispersion due to the electro...

The combination of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) with surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is described. By oxidizing ferrocenylalkanethiol self-assembled monolayer (SAM) with SECM-generated Ce4+, the coupled technique, SECM-SPR, is shown to be viable for determining local variations in thin film thickness. Factors (tip/substrate distance, tip potential scan rate, and solution compositi...

A novel method to generate an integrated electrically contacted glucose dehydrogenase electrode by the surface reconstitution of the apo-enzyme on a pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ)-modified polyaniline is described. In situ electrochemical surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is used to characterize the bioelectrocatalytic functions of the system.
متن کاملFabrication and Characterization of the Fiber Optical Taper for a Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor
For a fiber optical surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor a short part of its cladding should be removed to coat a thin layer of a metal. Usually this is problematic when an optical fiber with small core diameter is used. In this paper, a new method using µliter droplet of the HF acid for short fiber optical taper fabrication is reported. Using this method in a multi-mode optical fiber w...
